  • I JUST GOT MY POLAROID 3D DRAW PEN, NOW WHAT?

    First of all, congratulations on taking that first step to freeing up your creative potential to a whole new dimension. The first thing we recommend is that you read the knowledge base sections below and get familiarized with the basics of the Polaroid 3D Pen.

  • How do I use the Polaroid Draw 3D Pen?

    • Connect the power adapter with the AC power and plug other end into the “Power Input Hole”

    • The display will show “PL1”  You can use the “Filament Selection buttons to choose the needed preset temperature.
    • To set the temperature manually, hold down the “Filament Selection” buttons for 2 seconds.  Then press up or down to manually adjust.

    • Once you ese the desired mode on the screen, press the “Filament Feed Button” to start preheating the Polaroid Draw 3D pen.  In the LED Display” you will see the current temperature.  When the LED light turns green, preheating is finished and the Polaroid 3D Pen is ready for use.

    • Insert filament into the “Filament Loading Hole” and push in until it stops. Press the “Filament Feed Button” to start loading the lament. Once the filament starts feeding, continue holding down the “Filament Feed Button” until the filament loads through to the end and comes out the nozzle.

    • You can adjust the filament feeding speed by sliding the “Speed Controller” up and down. Make sure you do not hold down the feed button while adjusting the speed. The speed will only change once you let go and re-press the feed button.
    • Different PLA filament types have different melting points.  You can adjust the temperature by pressing the “Preset / Heat Adjustment” buttons.
    • For best performance on high speed, it is recommended you set to “PL3”
  • What are the features of the Polaroid Draw pen?

  • HOW MUCH FILAMENT DO I GET WITH THE INITIAL UNIT PURCHASE?

    For a limited time, every unit sold comes with a bundle pack of colors that consists of 4 different colors of PLA filaments. Each filament is 1.75mm thick and is 5 meters long.

  • What are some recommendations for Best Performance?

    • Filament should come out bubble free and have a reflective quality
    • Fully eject color and insert new filament
      • Most color changes will have a residual color after each change.  Allow 3-4 seconds of filament flow to get a clean transition
    • To avoid jams when changing filament, cut the tip of filament according to the chart below
